Public Diplomacy hosted a DVC in honor of Black History and Women's History Month on "Empowerment of Women: Small Business - Big Success," on May 10, 2006 at the American Corner Beer-Sheva.

The program featured Yvonne R. Davis, Founder, President and CEO of DAVIS Communications, Connecticut and Maryland. Ms. Davis, an expert on communications, public relations, and constituency building for small businesses and women's and minority issues, shared her experience as a businesswoman with an appreciative audience of twenty businesswomen and NGO activists, among them the Advisor on the Status of Women to the Mayor of Beer-Sheva and representatives of the Russian-speaking, Israeli-Arab, and Ethiopian communities.
