Multimedia Presentation on Jazz and African-American Literature at the American Corner Beersheva: On February 17, 2005, three dozen English language students from Makif Aleph High School in Beersheva attended a multimedia presentation entitled "Jazz and African-American Literature held at the American Corner Beersheva." Dr. Keren Omry incorporated readings of works by African-American writers, and scenes from documentary film on American Jazz musicians into the presentation to capture the imaginations of the students. The lively interactive presentation introduced the works of Langston Hughes, Zora Neale Hurston, Ralph Ellison, and Jayne Cortez.
