English Language Fellows ("ELF's") Carol Foye and Dana Poole conducted programs at the American Corners in Yaffo and Beersheva in honor of International Education Week.
On November 15, the English Language Fellows and ACAO Zeba Reyazuddin conducted a program at the American Corner Beersheva. Dr. Jihad El-Sanaa addressed a group of 10th-12th grade girls from the Albayan Tel Sheva Aleph High School. Dr. El-Sanaa discussed his experience as a scholar sponsored by the Embassy's Israeli-Arab Scholarship Program, and spoke about life as a foreign student in the U.S. He underlined the importance of getting to know the American people. He said that American should not be judged solely on its foreign policy. After the program, the ELFs led the students in fun and games through English educational activities.
